Giving Away Ministry…

There are many heroes of the faith and Steve and Robbie Brooks, I believe fall into that category. In 1980 Steve and Robbie were involved with a ministry of discipleship of which Margie and I were beneficiaries. We learned skills of evangelism and developing disciples fo Christ but most profoundly they invited us to our very first Weekend to Remember! They gave away ministry allowing us to participate alongside of them, helping us help those we could influence. It is hard to imagine what our life would have been like without the influence of Stephen Robbie Brooks.

They are currently on staff with Crown Financial Ministries, Steve is the Area Director for Arizona. They touch the lives of hundreds each year through their ministry in the area of biblical financial responsibility. They are still in the business of giving away Gospel ministry.

As you know, the US economy has been struggling for a couple of years. Many people are trying to make ends meet each month. And unfortunately, most Americans are going further into debt each month, which only exacerbates the situation. I would like to let you know about some of the FREE (and nearly free) resources Crown Financial Ministries has to help people to get their financial house in order. If these resources are not for you, perhaps you know someone who could benefit from their use.

Here are some links that you might like to look at…

• Over 750,000 “Crown Money Maps” have been distributed in the past couple of years. You can get a free copy simply by going to: http://www.crown.org/FreeMap/. This great tool will help you to see where you are in your financial journey…and what your next step should be to experience “true financial freedom.”

• If you are a Mom and struggle keeping all “the balls in the air,” you might find some encouragement, humor and ideas at a new website just for Moms: http://www.struggleofthejuggle.com/.

• The www.crown.org website has over 1,000 free articles that you can read, download and share with others. You might want to get started by looking at the “Getting Back on Track” section: http://www.crown.org/Articles/default.aspx?aid=SCHOM. This section has some wonderful articles, financial calculators, and godly advice.

• Did you know that you can listen to Crown’s daily radio broadcast online? You can also download it as a podcast to listen to at your leisure. Here is the link: http://www.crown.org/Media/.

• If you are looking for a simple way to budget, there is none simpler than Crown Mvelopes. Watch the 6-minute video to learn how it works. Here is the link: http://crown.mvelopes.com/. (There is a small monthly fee for this service…but it’s worth it.)
